It’s hard to describe what makes this camera so amazing. I think the best way to try is to say that it captures everything. Just like how you can nearly-instantly change the focus of your gaze from foreground to back, you can do that with the pictures that you take with a Lytro. I believe this photograph is supposed to make me hate oil or something to that effect, but it really just makes me miss Los Angeles. Driving along that overpass—preferably at high speeds, at night—is one of my favorite simple-yet-amazing things about the city. It just might be the best carpool lane in the world.
