This take on the boat shoe by Marc Jacobs utterly fails as a boat shoe—suede upper, leather sole—but for some reason I don’t think he was trying to be functional. That said, the form is on point, and I can think of dozens of ways to look fly in these this summer. If only they cost one third as much…

Sperry Top-Sider x Band of Outsiders | Boat Shoe | ~$180
These shoes speak for themselves. They’re boat shoes. They’re a bit more colorful than usual. But they stay true to the overall preppy aesthetic traditionally associated with boat shoes. They’re also kind of expensive. The end.
