Looking back at it, June kind of sucked! Some cool accessories, and a funny video from the dudes over at Funny or Die, but not much else… Lazy summer days, you know?
April was a fairly slow month for tomburkulosis. The archive page (which is kind of cool and kind of sucky at the same time) shows it as tied for the month with the least amount of posts. It appears that many of them were high-quality, though.
In fact, some of the coolest products I’ve ever posted on this blog were indeed posted during the month of April. The Tom Ford sunglasses, the rainbow Nikes, and the giant flip clock are all awesome, and they are actually affordable (though you may have to save for 3… or 4… or 5 months).
Also, the DJ Sara and DJ Ryusei video is one of my top favorite things I have come across in managing this blog. Who knew that a 9 year old and 6 year old could be so talented? I want to fly them over from Japan for my next birthday party, but that might be a little costly… Considering they’re already doing Grammy afterparties.
The BBC Pinstripe Jacket is probably the freshest thing I have ever seen come from the House of Pharrell, while the Korg DS-10 puts Pharrell’s equipment on your Nintendo DS. I can dig that. I can dig all the other stuff I posted too, but I don’t have much to say about it.
February’s Best is unique in that it includes something that I acutally own! I bought the WeSC Raw Jean in February and I’ve probably worn them 250 times since… And only washed them once. That’s the raw steez, baby. Though they are currently looking hella fresh, there are giant holes in the crotch area, so I have retired them in favor of a new pair of A.P.C. Petit Standards.
February also features the best music video I have ever posted to tomburkulosis, the video for “Something Good” by the Utah Saints, also known as “The Running Man Video.” It is a magical video that has a fun twist ending and will bring a smile to your face every time you watch it, for years and years and years.
