The Whitney Museum of American Art | Cory Arcangel: Pro Tools
If I were in New York this summer—and I know a lot of my friends are—I would definitely be trying to check out this exhibition at the Whitney, opening on Tuesday. I saw a couple pieces by Cory Arcangel at the New Museum a year or two ago, and I’ve featured his art on this esteemed blog several times before. Definitely try to see it before it closes in September.

Set aside a minute, sit back, take a deep breath, and watch this video on full screen in HD. Come back and try to tell me that you don’t feel just a little bit more relaxed than you did before.

I believe this photograph is supposed to make me hate oil or something to that effect, but it really just makes me miss Los Angeles. Driving along that overpass—preferably at high speeds, at night—is one of my favorite simple-yet-amazing things about the city. It just might be the best carpool lane in the world.
