Michael Jordan Interviews O.J. Simpson in 1988
What an incredible video. In 1988, O.J. had been retired for a while but was still remembered as one of the greatest running backs to do it, with a flawless reputation that was to fall to pieces in the following years. Michael, on the other hand, was a young player who had just led the league in scoring but was running into a bit of trouble with the Celtics and Pistons.
This is a great video for so many reasons: First, it features Michael in the extremely rare role of interviewer. Second, O.J. isn’t fighting off accusations… In fact, he’s young, charismatic, and likeable! Finally, it shows O.J. as a young Trojan going to work against Notre Dame and UCLA.
